A global approach to conflicts

We established a global conflicts process and clear protocols, along with a single conflicts system to facilitate new client/matter intake in a way that is consistent with local requirements in each jurisdiction. Our Global Conflicts Committee addresses complex global conflict issues, considers process improvements to support the needs of the firm, and monitors compliance with global conflicts protocols.


Managing global clients

We established a global framework to coordinate the terms and conditions of global client engagements across multiple jurisdictions and provide a seamless service. This framework addresses engagement letters, jurisdiction-specific terms and conditions, matter scoping, billing considerations, and issue resolution protocols.

Our approach to governance, compliance and ethics  

We established a Global Risk Committee to drive the firm’s governance, compliance and ethics agenda forward globally. This committee oversees the development of global compliance policies, risk training, risk mitigation and transfer strategies, data governance and similar issues.


Ethical Code of Conduct

We are also pleased to launch our new global Ethical Code of Conduct. As part of our commitment to being a responsible business, this Ethical Code sets out how we should conduct ourselves with our clients, our communities and each other. Aligned with our purpose and values, the Code is grounded in our belief that our people will instinctively act with integrity and honesty, always seeking to do the right thing, and acting in accord with any applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Underpinning all we do

We are proud to be a participant in the UN Global Compact and to support the ten principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the Compact.  This is a public pledge of our commitment to being a responsible business and will help us to evaluate our progress through annual reporting to the UN.
