“We recognize that supporting and empowering all our people to fulfill their potential is critical to successfully serving our worldwide client base, people and communities.”
“We want to create a culture that encourages professional growth and values differences and we are excited by the passion and engagement of our people. Together we can drive positive change across the firm and achieve our diversity and inclusion vision.”
The power of together
Our global diversity and inclusion strategy is underpinned by our purpose and values and, across the globe, we focus on building a culture of inclusion where each person feels able to be their true self at work and reach their full potential. We place respect and support for everyone at the heart of our strategy and empower all of our people around the world to fulfill their potential.
The six pillars of our strategy ensure we focus on global as well as local priorities, embrace intersectionality and leverage difference. We recognize that bringing together the perspectives of individuals of all backgrounds and life experiences is critical if we are to serve our global client base, people and communities.
The six pillars are:
1. Leadership and accountability
2. Evaluating our progress
3. Balancing local and global
4. Recruiting diverse talent
5. Awareness and career support
6. Clients and collaboration
Supporting female talent
Our flagship global ‘Development Plus’ program was created to give our female talent access to support, professional development opportunities and group coaching by senior female leaders from across the business. This program is part of our strategy to retain and promote more women and connects female colleagues with a global network of peers for support as they progress their career through the firm.
“It is essential that all of our people at each stage in their career and in all areas of our business have access to career development planning that enables them to fulfill their potential.”
“The confidence I needed and pride in who I am, to no longer have any hesitation in being open with colleagues and clients alike.”
Our global network
Over 1,000 of our people globally are actively involved in our networks and affinity groups which provide our people with a forum to voice views and experiences while offering a platform to inform and shape our diversity strategy and goals.
Each year, everyone in the firm comes together to mark a number of key dates including Black History Month, International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, International Men’s Day, International Women’s Day, Pride month and World Mental Health Day amongst others.
Underpinning all we do
We are proud to be a participant in the UN Global Compact and to support the ten principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the Compact. This is a public pledge of our commitment to being a responsible business and will help us to evaluate our progress through annual reporting to the UN.
